About

I wear many hats, some of which include:
-User Experience (UX) Designer
UX goes well beyond skin deep. It’s not about pixel pushing and style. It’s about crafting and choreographing an experience that a user will have with a product. It cannot simply be checked off. It requires constant attention to the user’s experience and an in depth understanding of the business’ strategy.
-User Interface Designer
Not everything has to be dead simple if it can be learned easily. There is value and benefits found by implementing web conventions and adhering to standard and best practices. However, innovating new ways to facilitate the speedy achievement of a user’s goal is often paramount.
-Usability Specialist
Usability is not a synecdoche for UX. It’s often about creating products that people want to use. In addition to being usable, the product must be useful, desirable, accessible, credible, findable, and ultimately valuable.
-Web Designer
Create stimulating graphics and styles to help both the user and business achieve their goals. Using the latest web standards like HTML5, CSS3 and other new technologies (Less, minifier, moderinzer) ensure the best experience.
I’m passionate about the user experience (UX) and wish to utilize uffenorde.com to write about UX discoveries and other useful and interesting articles.
I’m employed as a web designer and usability specialist for a software company in Provo Utah. I’m the lead graphic, usability specialist and interaction designer on a project we’re developing that allows dealers and consumers alike to apply for loans online via financial institutions nationwide.
